Looking back into their archives, Oliver Peoples will release some of the brand’s iconic quintessential models from the mid-80′s. The idea to re-introduce vintage frames came from the discovery of many old frames that were acquired by Oliver Peoples founder Larry Leight.

The idea to re-introduce vintage frames came from the discovery of many old frames that were acquired by Oliver Peoples founder Larry Leight. As many people still embrace the style and quality of vintage frames, it made perfect sense for the American eyewear label to re-release some limited edition frames. Three styles will include the OP-505 (from 1987), the 1955 (from 1988) and the O’Malley (from 1988). To further contribute to the legacy of Oliver Peoples original run of eyewear, the same factory was also utilized to preserve the quality and stylings. The Vintage Re-Release collection will be available through Jay Penske’s Dragon Books and Oliver Peoples boutiques.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.
